The Necks Intuitive Improvisation.
The Necks are a piano trio from Australia. Since their 1989 debut, Sex, the group has specialized in a brand of intuitive improvisation that doesn’t quite fit the definition of jazz. The band has a new recording called Body, so we decided to return to an interview from a few years ago, to hear The Necks describe their unique long-form sound.
